System Administrator Essential Functions:
Install, configure and update software, hardware and network devices
Monitor system performance, security and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve issues and outages
Ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place
Manage user accounts, permissions and access rights
Document system configurations, policies and procedures
Train and assist users on IT-related matters
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions

Education, Qualifications, Experience:
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer information systems or related field or equivalent experience
Professional certifications a plus
Knowledge of current trends in the IT field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of desktop and network operating systems and applications
Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, routers and switches
Knowledge of system security, backup and recovery best practices
Proven experience as a system administrator, network administrator or similar role
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Expectation of Service:
This is a non-exempt 40 hour per week position. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires being able to lift hardware; computers, monitors and printers, to place where needed. Bending and lifting is essential.
